When no library skill fits your need, create your own. A custom skill is yours to edit, share, and export.

Starting the Wizard

In the “Manage Skills” modal, open the “Add” dropdown and choose “Create skill”. The “Create skill” wizard has two steps: Details and Instructions.
Create skill wizard, Details step

Step 1: Details

1

Name your skill

Enter a name — this is required and is how people recognize the skill.
2

Set the slug

The slug is the skill’s id. It must use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only — for example, quarterly-board-report.
3

Add a description

Write a one-line description — also required — that explains what the skill does and when to use it.
Slugs can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. Spaces, capital letters, and other characters aren’t allowed.

Step 2: Instructions

The Instructions step is where the skill’s real value lives. Write clear, specific guidance for how SuperAgent should carry out the task.

Good instructions tend to:
  • Describe the task and the outcome you want
  • Spell out any format, tone, or structure to follow
  • List steps the assistant should take in order
  • Note anything to avoid or common mistakes to prevent
Write instructions the way you’d brief a capable new teammate: concrete, ordered, and unambiguous. The clearer the instructions, the more consistent the results.

After Creating

Your new skill appears under “Your skills” in the table with Author set to “You”. From there you can enable it, edit it, share it, or export it. If your skill needs configuration values or a connector, a requirements wizard runs when it’s used — see Uploading a skill for details on requirements.
If the slug you choose already matches an existing skill, Generate doesn’t block creation — it auto-renames yours (for example foo becomes foo-2) and lets you know with a toast. You can rename it back later from Manage Skills.
