Web Search lets Generate pull in live information from the internet alongside your internal knowledge base, giving you answers that combine your organization’s data with up-to-date public information.
Web search toggle in chat
In the chat input area, toggle the Web Search option before sending your message. When enabled, Generate will:
  1. Search your internal knowledge base as usual
  2. Also search the web for relevant, current information
  3. Combine both sources into a comprehensive answer

How Results are Displayed

When web search is used, the response will clearly indicate which information came from:
  • Your knowledge base — Internal documents and data
  • Web sources — External websites and public information
