The Datadog connector links your Datadog account to Generate so you can query metrics, logs, and monitors using natural language.

What You Can Do

  • Query metrics — Ask about performance and infrastructure metrics
  • Search logs — Find and summarize log events
  • Check monitors — Review monitor status and alerts

Connecting Datadog

Open the Connectors modal

Open Connectors and select the Apps tab. See Setting Up a Connector for the generic mechanics.

Find Datadog and click Connect

Locate Datadog in the connector catalog and click Connect.

Enter your API key and app key

Provide your Datadog API key and application (app) key so Generate can authenticate to your organization.

Confirm the connection

Save and verify the connector shows as Connected.
The metrics, logs, and monitors available in Generate depend on the scopes and permissions granted to your API and application keys.
