Indexing and analytics are administrator tools. Open Settings → Storage, then use the Indexing and Analytics sub-tabs.
Indexing turns the documents in your storage locations into searchable content. Analytics show what has been indexed and how storage is being used.

Indexing Jobs

The Indexing sub-tab lists indexing jobs and lets you create new ones.

Job Types

Full

Scans the entire storage location from scratch.

Incremental

Indexes only files that changed since the last scan.

Selective

Indexes a chosen subset of paths or file types.

Creating a Job

1

Start a scan

From a connected storage location’s ⋯ menu, choose Scan, or create a job from the Indexing sub-tab.
2

Pick a scan type

Choose Full, Incremental, or Selective.
3

Choose a processing mode

Pick Express (fast text extraction, best for simple documents) or Precision (deeper analysis of layout, tables, figures, and citations — slower but more thorough) before the scan starts.
4

Review the preprocessing pipeline

Open the Preprocessing pipeline modal to confirm how files are prepared before indexing.
5

Monitor progress

Track the job through its statuses: Pending, Running, Paused, Completed, Failed, or Cancelled.

Storage Analytics

The Analytics sub-tab surfaces insights across all indexed storage.
  • KPIs — Indexed storage and files, Active jobs, and File types
  • Storage over time — a trend chart of indexed storage growth
  • Distributions — breakdowns by file type and file size

Run Incremental scans on a schedule to keep the index current without the cost of a full re-scan.
