Map the groups in your identity provider to Generate teams so users are placed into the right teams automatically when they sign in or are provisioned — no manual team assignment required.
Configure this from Admin Settings → Access → Single Sign-on, in a provider’s Manage user provisioning modal. Requires administrator privileges.

Just-in-time provisioning

Open the ⋯ menu for your provider and choose Manage user provisioning. In the Provisioning step you’ll find the JIT toggle:
  • Create new identities during first-time authentication — when on, a Generate account is created the first time a user signs in through this provider, so you don’t have to invite them in advance.

Map groups to teams

1

Open the Assignment step

In Manage user provisioning, go to the Assignment step.
2

Add a mapping

Choose an identity-provider group and the Generate team it should map to, then click Add. Repeat for each group you want to map.
3

Review and save

Your mappings are listed as rows; remove any you no longer need. Save to apply. On each subsequent login (or SCIM push), members of a mapped group are added to the corresponding Generate team.
Combine group-to-team mapping with SCIM provisioning so both account lifecycle and team membership stay in sync with your directory.
