Generate keeps you informed about what’s happening across your workspace through the notifications center and optional desktop alerts.

Opening Notifications

Click the bell icon in the header to open the Notifications modal. A red dot on the bell means you have unread notifications.
The same bell also appears on the Home page, next to your greeting — it opens the identical Notifications modal, so you don’t need to go to the header if you’re already there.

Working With Notifications

The Notifications modal gives you tools to find and manage what matters:
  • Search — find a specific notification
  • Filter — narrow by Category (Chat agents, Projects, Chats, Settings, Workflow agents, Skills, Custom MCP, System) and Severity (Info, Success, Warning, Error)
  • Sort — reorder the list
  • Per-row actions — Mark as read and Delete
  • Bulk actions — use Select all to act on many at once
Select any notification to open its detail view, which includes a View button that takes you to the related item.

Open a notification

Click a row to see its full detail.

Jump to the source

Click View to go straight to the chat, agent, project, or setting it refers to.

Clear it

Use Mark as read or Delete, or select several and apply a bulk action.

Desktop Notifications

To receive alerts outside the app, enable desktop notifications:

Open Preferences

Go to Settings → Account → Preferences.

Enable the toggle

Turn on Desktop notifications. Your browser will ask for permission.

Allow in the browser

Grant permission when prompted.
If notifications are blocked, Generate shows “Blocked in your browser settings…”. Re-enable them in your browser’s site permissions to receive desktop alerts.
